Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires

Whether purring a slow-burning ballad or storming through his own originals, veteran soulman Bradley’s effortlessly high-flying voice and sheer commitment breaks hearts.

St. Paul & the Broken Bones

Playing with grit, elemental rhythm, and profound depth of feeling, Alabama’s St. Paul & the Broken Bones channel the spirit of classic Southern soul with vivacious realness.

Bobby Patterson

Celebrating his first record in more than 40 years, Patterson hits all the high notes with down-and-dirty Lone Star soul.

Music Maker Blues Revue
Featuring Dom Flemons, Beverly “Guitar” Watkins, and Ironing Board Sam

Twenty years ago, the founders of Music Maker asked elder musicians what they needed. The answer: “A gig.” This gig spans generations, from Carolina Chocolate Drops co-founder and slide banjo player Flemons, to the hard stompin’ blues of elder guitar slinger Beverly Watkins, to the flying fingers and eccentric showmanship of pianist Ironing Board Sam.
